The Holman Flushing Valve is an essential component for maintaining inline drip systems, which consist of numerous small outlets that require regular cleaning to prevent blockages. This valve automatically purges water each time the drip system is activated, effectively removing any accumulated grit and debris. It features a 1/2 inch BSP male thread and is colour-coded to match brown drip lines. For optimal performance, the flushing valve should be installed at the lowest points of both the feed and collection manifolds. It is important to note that this valve is not suitable for gravity feed low pressure irrigation systems, as it requires a minimum pressure of 7 meters (70kPa) to function correctly. For low pressure systems, a manually operated valve is recommended to facilitate debris flushing.
