The device has 3 functions: On, which leaves the LED on constantly, Off, which turns the device off, and Auto, which allows the motion detecting sensor to operate and light up accordingly. It operates with 4 x AA Batteries and can be hung on the wall with ease due to the universally sized hanging slot on the back of the unit. It can also simply be placed on a flat surface.
