Do masonry screws need a separate anchor?

No. The AnkaScrew cuts its own thread directly into concrete, brick or block, so a separate plastic anchor is not needed.

Can I use it to attach a sill plate to concrete?

Yes. Drill an 8mm hole through the timber into the concrete and drive the anchor; the flanged hex head clamps the plate down.

What drill size do I need?

Use an 8mm drill bit for this 8mm anchor.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?
