Do masonry screws need a separate anchor?

No. The AnkaScrew cuts its own thread and fixes directly into concrete, brick or block, so no separate plastic anchor is required.

Can I use it to attach a sill plate to concrete?

Yes. Drill an 8mm hole through the timber into the concrete, then drive the AnkaScrew to clamp the plate down; the flanged hex head bears against the timber.

What drill size do I need?
