Description & Specs

The Ramset 1/8" x 50mm countersunk spring toggle is a cavity fixing for plasterboard walls and ceilings, supplied in a 4 pack. The spring-loaded wings open behind the board and the countersunk head lets the screw sit flush, so the fixing finishes neatly against the surface.

  • Size: 1/8" x 50mm

  • Material: Gold passivated, zinc plated, pressed steel body with carbon steel screw
  • Finish: Gold
  • Drill size: 7/16"

Countersunk spring toggles suit fixing fittings, rails and brackets to hollow plasterboard walls and ceilings where a flush, low-profile finish is wanted. There must be clearance behind the board for the wings to spring open once pushed through the drilled hole.

Questions & Answers

What hole size does this toggle need?

Drill a 7/16" (around 11mm) hole so the folded wings can pass through before opening out behind the board.

Why choose a countersunk head?

The countersunk head lets the screw sit flush with the fixture for a neat finish, ideal where a protruding head would be in the way.

What is this spring toggle made of?

A gold passivated, zinc plated pressed steel body with a carbon steel screw.

How many are in the pack?

Four countersunk spring toggles per pack.

Is the toggle reusable?

No. If the screw is removed the wings fall into the cavity, so each toggle is a single-use fixing.
