Description & Specs

The Ramset 1/8" x 50mm round head gravity toggle is a metal cavity fixing for plasterboard walls, supplied in a 4 pack. The toggle uses gravity and clamping force to swing into place behind the board, with no protruding flange so the fixing finishes flush against the surface.

  • Size: 1/8" x 50mm
  • Head type: Round head
  • Material: Gold passivated, zinc plated, pressed steel body with carbon steel screw
  • Finish: Gold
  • Drill size: 7/16"
  • Pack quantity: 4
  • Packaging: Snap pack

Gravity toggles suit anchoring lightweight fittings to plasterboard walls where a flush finish is wanted. Drill a 7/16" hole, insert the toggle so it drops behind the board under gravity, then tighten the screw to clamp it in place.

Questions & Answers

How does a gravity toggle work?

Once inserted through the hole, the weighted toggle swings down behind the board under gravity. Tightening the screw then clamps it against the back of the lining.

What drill size do I need?

A 7/16" (around 11mm) hole so the toggle can pass through and drop into place.

Why is it described as a flush fixing?

There is no protruding flange, so the toggle sits flat and the fixing finishes flush against the wall.

What is it made from?

A gold passivated, zinc plated pressed steel body with a carbon steel screw.

How many toggles are in the pack?

This is a 4 pack, suited to light-duty fixings on plasterboard.
