Wattyl Solagard Low Sheen in Shale Grey is a pre-tinted exterior paint supplied ready to use in a handy 1L tin, ideal for smaller jobs, touch-ups or trim. The soft grey low sheen finish works on weatherboards, render and previously painted surfaces in good condition.

Is Shale Grey Solagard ready to use, or does it need tinting?

It comes pre-tinted in Shale Grey and is ready to use straight from the tin, so there's no mixing required at the paint counter.

Do I need to prime first?

No. Solagard is self-priming on the recommended surfaces, so a separate primer is not required.

What can I paint with the 1L tin?

It suits exterior surfaces including previously painted surfaces in good condition, bare timber, bare LOSP-treated pine (after weathering) and cement render. The 1L size is well suited to smaller areas and touch-ups.

How long should I leave it before recoating?

Allow 120 minutes between coats, and only apply when the temperature is 5°C or above.
